Pro bono referrals for eligible individuals and organisations in Victoria and NSW

Our Referral Service facilitates pro bono referrals, linking individuals experiencing disadvantage and not-for-profit organisations who support them with pro bono lawyers in Victoria and NSW.

We administer the LIV Legal Assistance Service, the Victorian Bar Pro Bono Scheme and the Justice Connect Members service (NSW & Victoria).

Our Referral Service does not provide legal advice.

In New South Wales, we cannot assist in any family law disputes. Please consider Law Access or the Law Society. We also cannot assist with criminal cases. Please consider Legal Aid.

In Victoria, we do not take calls from individuals with family or criminal law cases. We do take family or criminal law calls from Legal Professionals. We cannot assist with any family law property disputes or settlements. Please contact Legal Aid or the Federation of Community Legal Centres for help with family or criminal law matters.

In determining which matters are appropriate for pro bono assistance the Referral Service applies guidelines, including means, legal merit, access to justice criteria, whether assistance is available elsewhere and pro bono capacity.
